Our under-age training will start up on Monday 11th April at 6.30 in Dunbeggan Park (across from Stonepark NS). Registration will be held on Friday 8th April from 3pm - 4pm and 6pm-7pm in in the Clubhouse. Those registered on the day will be entered into a draw for a number of free football kits! All children must be registered prior to any Training/Games and Blitzes.
This year we are launching a 'Bring Your Own Ball Initiative' and all our new Nursery (U6) recruits will receive their own First Touch Football to keep and bring to training! This community based program is available to all existing members and as always, any new members & friends are welcome to join! Our objective is to ensure the children enjoy football in a coordinated structure by full trained coaches and first aid providers. All the trainers and mentors at our club are Garda vetted and trained to the required standards including the GAA code of Ethics as per the association’s code of conduct. Our Committee members have also undertaken all relevant training aimed at working with underage children including the appointment of an ASAP (Alcohol & Substance Abuse Prevention) Officer, (Mary Conlon), Childrens Officer (Trish McHugh) and Designated Officer (Mick Hand). Grattan Gaels offer a complete schedule for all our underage teams from Under-18 (Minor) to Under-6 (Nursery). We are entered in all competitions and we look forward to working with the children again this year. We are always on the scout for able volunteers and should you be interested in being involved or if you have any queries in relation to playing, please contact the following Mentors for their associated Age Groups. Kind Regards Grattan Gaels Minor Club Committee
