GRATTAN ÓG GAA
We were due to play Mullinalaghta in the first round of the Junior Championship on Wed last, upon arriving and to huge disappointment and frustration we were told the game had been conceded with no official notice been given by the home team so instead we played them in a challenge , this was not an ideal start to our campaign but we made it what it was on the evening and in the end it turned out to be a very competitive and entertaining game, some great scores and team play were the highlight of the evening, Grattan Óg 2-18 Mullinalaghta 3-13, scorers on the evening Reuben Murray (0-8, 3Fs); Gerry Victory (0-2); Stephen Farrell (1-1); David Trappe (0-1); Kevin Jones (0-2); James Moran (0-1); Emmet Clarke (0-1); Clayton Finn (1-1); Gary Gilchrist (0-1).
We play Killashee in round 3 of the championship this coming Thursday 3rd Sept at home in Dunbeggan Park at 7pm.
Due the Covid Restrictions with no supporters in attendance we will have live Twitter Feeds throughout ( @grattanoggaa ) for all our championship games.

Hard luck to the Grattan Ladies Senior Team who bowed out of the championship at the semi-final stage to Longford Slashers on Sunday last , it was a brilliant achievement to get to this stage especially with it been their first year at this level, the future looks bright, well done to all involved on a super season.
COUNTY HURLING FINAL
A huge congrats to our club players Karl Murray; Reuben Murray; Stephen Farrell; Conor Gallagher who will contest this year’s hurling final after a great win for Longford Slashers hurlers over Clonguish Gaels in the hurling championship recently.
Well done to Mick Maguire and his team on the superb progress they are making with our new development and also to Ken Keenan Photography for the brilliant updated photos of each stage , all these photos can be found on our webpage www.grattangaa.com., once again a huge thanks to Seymour Platt who continues to update the page.
A sincere thanks to all our supporters who continue to support our Club Lotto and our Buy a Brick Scheme in these difficult times and also for their patience with their inability to attend our games due to the new restrictions, we as much as anyone would love to have as many supporters at our games on match days but until such time that can happen we hope that support continues till then “ GRATTAN’S ABU “
