SENIOR CLUB
We played Mullinalaghta in the first round of the Junior Championship on Wed last, full report in next week’s notes.
We play Killashee in the second round of the championship on Thursday next 3rd Sept at home in Dunbeggan Park
Due the Covid Restrictions with no supporters in attendance we will have live Twitter Feeds throughout ( @grattanoggaa ) for all our games in the championship.
MINOR CLUB
Grattan Gaels are hosting a Fun/Health Walk/Cycle to raise funds towards the running cost of the Minor Club on Monday 14th September, more details can be found on our Twitter page (@Grattan Gaa ) our FB page ( Grattan Gaels Gaa ) and on www.grattangaa.com.
U16s:
We played our final game in the championship at home in Dunbeggan Park on Saturday last v Drumlish knowing a well would give us a slim chance of progressing to the next stage, alas but it wasn’t to be as we just came up short in the end. It was a very entertaining contest with both teams needing the points, a huge effort was put in by all the squad on the day especially when it looked like Drumlish would run away with it, in the end we came up short by 3 points Grattan Gaels 4-7 Drumlish 3-13.

The U16C turned out to be a very competitive championship with 6 games for each team been played which was a first in a long time at this age grade, we probably left points after us in our first two games which didn’t help and along with a couple of injuries who knows what might have been.
As our journey has come to an end we as a management we would sincerely like to thank a superb bunch of players for all their efforts throughout a season that we will remember for different reasons for a long time to come, to the parents for their huge support once again, to the Minor Club Executive for the outstanding work they continue to do year in year out.
