U12’s played their semi-final in the Longford/Leitrim league on Thursday 30th June at home in Dunbeggan park against Aughnasheelin from Leitrim. This game was played in good spirit and in the end we were beaten by a physically strong outfit, Dan Gallagher in goals once again had a solid game, our full back line of Darragh Campbell and Gavin Nulty despite under pressure for most of the game played well. Our half backs of Ryan Casey and Rasheed Yeobah had fine games as did our midfield pairing of Beau O Conor and Eoin Kinlan never gave up the fight and both came up with some good scores during the game. Matthew Hawes and Harry Mulvihill in our half forward both had good games and worked extremely hard to keep us in the game, our full forward line of Dan Devlin and Gary Hand had fine games also. Gary’s work rate once again to the fore and he also got on the score sheet with a goal and a point, we went in at the break 2-1 to 0-2 down so it was all to play for in the second half , try and try as we did to win this game we just at times couldn’t cope with a couple of their bigger guys even with our bench been emptied with Tessa Tiernan, Sarah Farrell , Niall Hawes, Stephen Oates and Keelan Ruske all playing their parts to try and curb the tide but it wasn’t to be, a super effort by all involved to get this far.

We can now look forward to the Longford league with great excitement, our first game in this competition is due to take place on Thursday 21st July.

A special thanks to the Minor Club and our chairman Mick Hand for putting on refreshments after the game and to all the mammies who helped out.

U10's Last Wednesday the U10s enjoyed a blitz in Mostrim. They competed well in all games in a well-organised competition. Four games were played and all players took on various playing roles and high scores were achieved.

U8's Would like to thank Northern Gaels for hosting a blitz Sunday 10th July in Mullinaughta. It was a very wet day, but the weather eased just enough for the teams to get out. And have a great game and it was all good preparation for both team’s trip to Croke Park in August.
